Broken

Broken

A Poem by Daniielle7

the ground is falling in from above as fiery pieces burn into my skin

and all i can picture is your face twisted into a grin of chagrin

as i lie down in the clouded, muddy water to commit another sin

its all your fault, its all your fault. for all the pain ive held in a vault

i can finally exalt. and its no different than taking a knife to the

empty cavity in my chest, gasping for air trying to protest the

poison you try to make me ingest, word vomits hard to digest

when someone puts your though such distress and detest

all you can express is all the demons inside you possess that

have been surpppresed behind the lies in your eyes and the

lines in the lies of your tongue and the pen and paper in your hand

as your heart races because of your adrenaline gland and its

all you can withstand because everyone else misunderstands

and at last you just have to let go and stow away feelings in escrow

because life's too short and people are fake and everyone makes mistakes.

this must have been made in the throes of emotion. you can probably look back and see that there's a gap in reason... peace

I tend to reach for the stars, for lack of better words. My hopes are too high and my dreams are too big according to societal ways. And if there is one thing I've learned throughout my life it's not .. more..
