Fix Me

Fix Me

A Poem by Daniielle7

She's spinning in a white dress dripping in lace.
It's cold and unforgiving like the marble staircase.
and the tears are streaming down her face,
and the piano is carrying her back to the same place.
She feels like a disgrace for trying to replace,
the feelings of despair with a new face,
A warm embrace,
Two bodies interlace.
A spark, and a flame, and the fires ignite,
and for a split second everything is alright.
But a pop and a sizzle and it's pitch black.
The marble shakes and begins to crack.
Blood seeps through the white lace,
blood creating a parallel interface.
Her eyes are dry but her soul is sore.
She's always left asking 'what am I looking for?'

Great read
Enjoyed the imagery, winced at the pain
Then
Still left questioning at the end
What am I looking for
When quick fix backfires
Well written

I tend to reach for the stars, for lack of better words. My hopes are too high and my dreams are too big according to societal ways. And if there is one thing I've learned throughout my life it's not .. more..
