There'll never be enoughA Poem by Daniel Sutheran
It's not me anymore.
It's not an excuse at all, just the truth. That stupid, cracked, broken little man didn't know, couldn't have known what he was doing. It pains them to think of the pain they've caused you, and countless others, including, but not exclusively, themselves. It's not an excuse at all, just the truth. There is a moment of realisation, when they realise exactly what they've done, and can't hide. He - who isn't even any longer a 'he' - isn't at all the same as before. It's not an excuse at all, just the truth. They know exactly what the situation is, but they can never, ever tell you properly. If my final words were "I'm sorry", it still wouldn't be enough for me. It's not an excuse at all, just the truth. If, at any point, murder is legal, you may go ahead. Even if not, you could justify it - they more than deserve it. Don't be angry at them for something they did yet had no idea they were doing. It's not an excuse at all, just the truth. It's not me anymore.
