I do not own an everyday hat

I do not own an everyday hat

A Poem by Daniel Sutheran
"

...and neither do I want one.

"
I do not own an everyday hat,
to wear if I am suddenly invited to that
ghastly but necessary meet.

I do not own an everyday hat,
to wear if it is suddenly noticeably colder.

I do not own an everyday hat,
to jokingly place atop the head of my cat,
in hilariously frivolous ways.

I do not own an everyday hat,
to wear to keep my head from freezing.

I do not own an everyday hat,
to wear if I am at shouted and spat,
at which I could fling it at the aggressor.

Oh! the things I could do,
if I bought an everyday hat.

...but I wouldn't ever do that.

Beautiful, Inspiring really. I wouldn't have ever even noticed this glorious piece if it weren't for the these incredibly useful tags you so kindly gave us humble viewers. Some real thought went into this one, the rhyme scheme to the structure to the uneven and inconsistent metre; flawless. I figuratively literally cannot wait to recite this to my great grandchildren, as I continue to offer this poem biblical amounts of praise throughout my lifetime. Heck, I wont even have to with the inevitability of this being placed on any English literature course in the near future. Now let's discuss politics.
