"It does! I do!", or The Man with The Shoe

"It does! I do!", or The Man with The Shoe

A Poem by Daniel Sutheran
"

A purposely vague and nonsensical poem with dark, sincere undertones.

"
"It does! I do!", said the man with the shoe,
and then carried all on with his day.
It's a silly, stupid thing for an old, aged thing to do.

"It does! I do!", said the man with the shoe,
on the day after mentioned before.
Such nonsense like this would not go amiss with his pacemaker, new.

"It does! I do!", said the man with the shoe,
the day after-after before.
Don't argue the toss just to show who's not boss, he knew.

"It doesn't, you don't", said the woman with the other shoe,
calmly, like so many a day before.
Off wheeled to bed, not 'right in the head', she knew.

So sad, yet so real for many people and their loved ones. I love how you were so vague. Nice job. :)
