The Day That Was

The Day That Was

"

Was thinking about September 11th, 20th anniversary and this came about.

"

The Day That Was

September 11 2001: 20 Years Later

The day that was, and still is,

Will forever be remembered

As that day, however tragic,

That brought us all together

Some were lost then found each other,

Through the thick and thin

Some fought hard to survive,

Some souls were never seen again

It's important to point out

Our days on Earth are numbered

So live each day as it’s your last

Always to be remembered

One last word, to make it clear

It’s completely up to you my dear

Of how you choose to live each day

Make it count, give praise and pray

September 11 is most definately a day I will never forget. I lost two friends and just about everyone in my town knew someone who died. I remember the TV had no stations except for one. Then the videos started repeating the disaster over and over again. Certainly a horrible day.

Good poem.
