Time's Up

Time's Up

A Poem by DanielScanlon
"

The vitriol, the hate, and harshness this country has endured must stop.

"

Times Up

Leaves blown, lives torn

Inside out, newborn

Times change, years ago

That same old wind still blows

Life’s game, all blame

Without knowing, or caring

It’s all the same

The truth lies, capsize

Set free, break ties

Times up, now it’s us

Falter through, betray the trust

Point fingers, hate lingers

Hateful words used as stingers

We must stop, reverse direction

Begin to heal, a soft correction

If we don’t, with our collective eyes

We are responsible for our own demise

Let us grow, together strong

Know our place, where we belong

No more hate or vengeful words

Just those in need, to be heard

Love thy neighbor as thyself

It cannot be said enough

As we follow through to His word

We abide in abundance of His love
