A poem of one being stuck, afraid to move forward

10 Long Gone

 

It is a reality we face

Same time, same place

Without a trace of concern

Each day we burn

 

In that very same spot

More often than not

Caring to change as we should

We could, but choose not

 

It has been 10 long gone

Years spent, not one

But nine spent on betting that

Life will get better, it won’t

 

Unless you, take yourself on

Not that you stay gone but you will

But still, if you must

Believe in yourself, trust

Life, your new thrill
