An Infamous Year

An Infamous Year

A poem about loss and healing.

An Infamous Year

Almost behind us, an infamous year

It has taken its toll on all of us here

The season of bittersweet change in the air

Thanks to all of you who showed love and care

Nothing prepares you in life for this

Of letting go of the flow of those you will miss

Family and friends, of good times we had

Sure there are sad times but never the bad

If you keep moving forward not allowing to die

The memories within you smile and cry

It is human nature to mourn those we have lost

Forgiveness and patience be at all cost

So now Father Time, allow us you must

Heal our own souls, in time we will trust

That all is meant to be such as this

Someday the heaven too we shall kiss
