Present Presence

Present Presence

A Poem by DanielScanlon
"

My brother Tim's legacy continues to illuminate us all

"

It has only been a short time

Since we have seen you last

We still feel your brilliant presence

As though you haven't passed

We know you're in Good hands

As you left us way too soon

Yes, Wakeman and McCartney

You speak to us through tune

When we see you next, on the other side

It cannot be too soon

You have paved a path to be with you

Amongst the stars, sun and moon

Today we lay you down

In our home of childhood past

To ensure your memory lives on

By your life shadow that you cast.

(Continue to rest brother, free and easy. We miss you terribly but will see you again. I love you)

Author's Note

DanielScanlon
My brother Tim passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) 1964-2014 and is consistent in making his presence known in funny ways to those who knew him. He was the quintessential portrait of strength through the whole ordeal...he passed just shortly after smiling at a joke.
