The Call

The Call

A Poem by DanielScanlon
"

Dedicated to June, as she was dedicated to make me feel completely at home when I visited!! You were so much, my second mom and I'll never forget you. Miss you

The Call

The holidays have come and gone

The pain, still intact

Of losing your brilliant presence

We'd love to have you back!

To make us laugh as you often would

Your smile spreading joy to all

To feel the pain of your sickness

Were glad you got "the call"

From the Lord up above to bring you home

We will always remember you

As someone who could make us laugh

Even when we were blue

So June, you're at home now

Lady, do get your rest

You are whole again, you're brand new

We know its for the best!

*Miss you "mom"
