God Forgot

God Forgot

A Poem by DoormanDan
"

Just something I wrote a few days ago to try and get the creative juices flowing after close to a year of not writing

"
What are you if not tender-hearted?
What are you if not unswerving?
What were you but a naive target?
What were you but so deserving?

Come all disciples and apostles,
Give some ghostlight with your gospels,
Bring your angels, from their brothels,
To provide mankind with hostel,

And if you see God,
Ask for his response;
If he even has the time to stop
And share his thoughts.
When singing your psalms,
Ask if he forgot
Whatever it means to sit atop
That shiny throne he's got.

Author's Note

DoormanDan
It has been over a year since my last post on this site, and well over a year since I last wrote any poetry. I was feeling nostalgic, so posted this on here.

In the time since I last visited this site, I have moved country to live with my wife, and we now have our own house, and both are working post college jobs in our desired fields. In summary: writing has not been a priority. But now, I'm trying to get back into it.

I hope you enjoyed, whoever has read this.
