With Wanderlust Until MidnarustA Poem by DoormanDanJust me getting back into the swing of things with writing. Consider this a demo, or a warm-up, if you want. With Wanderlust Until Midnarust In my soul, calescent campfires cantillate Of faraway frontiers, where sands scintillate And bohemian dreams made of nylon twine Rid Life's grapevines of sour berries saturnine I can see sapience in my impatience So today, I will set sail with ebullience For one day, I will succumb to senescence And my frail heart's harp will conclude its cadence You always tell me that this lifestyle I idolize Leads not to the ruby corals I visualize But rather, to savage seas that don't apologize For the naive voyagers they contently capsize But why should we fear sacrificium for Wanderlust When we are already doomed to melt in the Midnarust? I say the tropic prospects eclipse the perils
