The Romance of the Reaper

I've been overcome by an obsession
For a heart of which I cannot claim possession

Written in this sickening sin is the dedication preaching my love
Do no be scared, all that I want is to protect you from this world's tantalizing touch
Why do you run?

I've been overcome by an obsession
For a heart of which I cannot claim possession
And I care not about the repercussions
Of feeding this poisonous passion

I cannot ignore this coarse force torturing my anymore
Leave my bashful body bloodied on the floor, make me into your little w***e
Why do I run?

I've been overcome by an obsession
For a heart of which I cannot claim possession
And I care not about the repercussions
Of feeding this poisonous passion

Over your I watch, for without you I am lost
Your enemies I stalk, on the hunt for their blood
Through fire and frost I will persevere for this lust
For you are my God, and I'm the Christ nailed to the cross

I've been overcome by an obsession
For a heart of which I cannot claim possession
And I care not about the repercussions
Of feeding this poisonous passion

You are my love
To you I will devote my soul
You are my lust
Until the day my eyes forever close
You are my God
With this act of violence, I protect you from the cold
I care not about the repercussions that may unfold

I am finally back! Boy, is there a story that inspired this one. Basically, in the last few weeks, somebody who I became friends with around the beginning of this school year developed an unhealthy obsession with me, I told her that if she we couldn't be friends anymore (it was getting pretty creepy), and she proceeded to stalk me whenever she could in school. Eventually, I told my school's counselors about it, and they confronted her about it. This led to her getting so angry that she treated to murder me with a knife. At this point, the guidance counselors took her to my school's therapist and put her in In School Suspension, and now she is not allowed to be anywhere near me. Overall, I wasn't really shaken up (I'm certain she wouldn't have carried her threat through), but it was definitely an experience. Figures, I generally write dark material, and then, poof! I have a crazy girl wanting to "do things" to me. Anyway, I apologize for not uploading anything of about 2 months. I just had to wait for inspiration to strike, and boy, it sure did! As usual, tell me what you think. :)

Wow that's pretty crazy. Good thing it didn't take a worse turn. You handled the situation very well.

I enjoyed this poem. You did a good job writing the insanity and obsession of the stalker alongside with its unhealthiness.

Wow, that's pretty intense! I've had a stalker problem before as well, but not to that extent. It sounds like you handled the whole situation really well though, telling somebody about it was a good move. This should surly inspire you for a while!

Well now that I know the back story, I think you did well by writing this in her perspective. It sounds very unhealthy, and the last two lines made me shiver. The aspect of referring to another person as your God also adds a lot of intensity.

Glad to see that despite that experience, your handling it well :)
