Psalm of Fallen Angels

Psalm of Fallen Angels

A Poem by DoormanDan

Those who want to have it all are those who write the words of their downfall

Psalm of Fallen Angels

Sitting upon your bloodied throne, you set fire to flesh and bone

No remorse for the broken souls that you have murdered and sold

Your true colors have shown, follower of the serpent's shadow

What you've done we cannot condone, you'd better run like the devil

For Ragnarok is about to devour your world whole

For all the people you've crucified, for every scream silenced in the twilight

Nevermore will I fall in line, from retribution you cannot ever hide

Fate has sharpened his scythe, son, you'd better pray to the divine

For I have seen through your deceptive disguise

You think you are immortal as you take another bite from your golden apple

But the Destroyer of Worlds is coming for you, this will be your final battle

(I am the poltergeist in your head, the nightmare you have come to dread)

Those who want to have it all are those who write the words of their own downfall

Your prophecy's been carved into the stone wall, can you hear the bell toll?

(You're going to get what you deserve, watch helpless as your kingdom burns)

This is the Psalm of Fallen Angels

Upon yourself you've unleashed the Kraken, you disregarded every omen

Your Majesty, here's your coffin, built by the web of lies you've woven

You have enraged a scorpion that is filled to the brim with potent poison

For the empty alibis you've spoken, for every innocent life you've stolen

Your heart will be pierced by the sharp blade of rebellion

You think you are immortal as you take another bite from your golden apple

But the Destroyer of Worlds is coming for you, this will be your final battle

(I am the poltergeist in your head, the nightmare you have come to dread)

Those who want to have it all are those who write the words of their own downfall

Your prophecy's been carved into the stone wall, can you hear the bell toll?

(You're going to get what you deserve, watch helpless as your kingdom burns)

This is the Psalm of Fallen Angels

You are nothing but a curse forged in the fierce fires of vanity

Your name's written on the Crown of Thorns, advocate of desolation

No, I am not the messiah nor am I the televised pariah

But still I'll stand for those forgotten, for those you've slain in the darkness

Your greed's tainted the River of Nirvana

Prepare to pay for what you've become

You think you are immortal as you take another bite from your golden apple

But the Destroyer of Worlds is coming for you, this will be your final battle

(I am the poltergeist in your head, the nightmare you have come to dread)

Those who want to have it all are those who write the words of their own downfall

Your prophecy's been carved into the stone wall, can you hear the bell toll?

(You're going to get what you deserve, watch helpless as your kingdom burns)

This is the Psalm of Fallen Angels

Your greed's tainted the River of Nirvana

Prepare to pay for what you've become

This is the Psalm of Fallen Angels

From it's words you cannot save yourself

This one was a lot of fun to write, but my god, I never spent so much time looking through a dictionary for words to use in this song before ha-ha. As always, tell me what you think, and please be honest :)

I feel like I just saw a scene from Mozart's Don Giovanni. I feel like I'll be coming back to re-read this one every once in a while because I love the image and the story that you conjure in this piece. The link is a scene from Amadeus that I was thinking of when I read this. https://youtu.be/IZbl6jQuyuM

This is like the stories and movies young people are into today. Your vocabulary is really growing. I may have to get out my dictionary to see what your big words mean. [smiling] Valentine

Song or poem, your use of language is amazing for someone your age. Just keep writing. Kathie
this is Epic
and in the truest sense

it has a very fantasy esque feel to it
almost as if it could have been apart of a fantasy story you'd written or something

the central theme really moves it along as we grasp the concept of someone (something?) possessing far far more power than deserved

and how it will be their prophetic demise

fantastic imagery and vocabulary friend

a simply amazing poem that has inspired my very vivid imagination

thanks for writing it

Honesty? Alright then.
AWESOME! I really like the poem and the fallen angels contrasting with the evil one.
I really enjoyed reading this poem Dan, it is true that someday Jesus will come and put everything back on its way, as for right now we have to wait in a chaotic world were stress and pressions keep on growing by second.
I really like this, awesome work Dan :)
