Werewolf at Heart

As you come at me with your claws, just know this grandma

One day you'll be caught( you'd better live it up)

You have a deceiving disguise, but there are a few flaws

Like the big hands you have( the large eyes you've got)

Soon everybody will see that you come from the black forest beyond

Soon the sun will show his face and the whole world will know

That you're a werewolf at heart, a predator in the dark

As I wandered through the woods with my picnic basket in hand

I remembered these words( that mom had said)

She said to stay on the path, those words I now understand

For the big, bad wolf attacked( when I didn't expect it)

Grandma, you'd better watch every single step ahead

Because the moment you trip, the whole world will know

That you're a werewolf at heart, a predator in the dark

One day you'll cross paths with the lumberjack

And before you can react, you past will come back

You'll have nowhere to go, you won't be able to run home

For your stomach will be filled with heavy stones

Those shining bright teeth you use to feed

Will one day be exposed to the rest of reality

And they will at long last know

That you're a werewolf at heart, a predator in the dark

I love this poem, I really do and I enjoy reading this!
Specially the last stanza is kind of like saying to someone who is trying to be someone else:
Dude, We know you're not like that, so stop acting like that.
Powerful and awesome poem.

I'm really glad you liked it! :)
I like this one Doorman, I think it's really good. It would work well to music. It's a theme of good over evil. It works effectively. I like the rhythm of 'A werewolf at heart, a predator in the dark'. I think this is the best I've read although I like them all so far :-)
This gets a big thumbs up from me and some more of those really tasty cupcakes.....

Thanks :) It's good to know that my writing isn't disappointing
For me it just placed the female instead of the male predator that one usually hears about. I generally worry about children around Too close to fondling males. Valentine
