Star Gazing

Star Gazing

A Poem by Danielle Nicole
"

This was the first, and only, poem I ever sent to the school. It was published immediately. All people find someone who they want to love. But what if that love is not returned?

"

Is it written in the stars,
That I must love you from afar?
Is it written, by any chance,
That we could have a real romance?
Is it possible to see,
That you belong with me?

The impossibility,
That the stars are named for me...
That they're named for you and me...
That we could love for eternity...

Do the constellations say,
"Come on baby, live with me"?
Or do the heavens simply say,
That our love can never be?

Is it written in the stars?
Or does this have to do with chance?
Is it written in the stars,
That you won’t even share a glance...

A glance,
A chance,
A rhyme,
Some time...
Some peace,
A line,
Oh, please baby, just be mine...

Is it written in the stars,
That I must love you from afar?
Is it written, by any chance,
That we could have a real romance?
Is it possible to see,
That you belong with me?

Where is it written?
