Typing generation

Typing generation

A Poem by The Freedwriter
"

Going down generations of writing.

"

from before words were words
voices were voices,
gestures were gestures
then people advanced
to cold stone walls
and chiseled pictures,
the elementary stick people
were once our Mona Lisa,
then again advancement
to quill and parchment
the dedication was limited
and not for the common
greeting the staple of our days
education
imagine if you will
the practice of proper cursive
with the improved pen and paper,
our calluses try heal
as fingers get tangled in typewriter ribbon
oh that was once quite fun
the ding and push of each new line
oh the insanity
ding,ding,ding
and now our newest
and brightest creation
the computer age
where no age is bound from speaking ones mind
where writing is not limited

however with this came the common language
where there's little pride in ones writing
and chicken scratch is proper cursive
and rotflmao is actually a sentence...
