Stop

Stop

A Poem by Daniella

"Please stop" I begged him over and over while my face drowned in tears.

"Please don't be so angry" I pleaded fearfully.

"Stop" I whimpered, almost unnoticeable,
almost like I knew I would'nt be heard.

"Stop crying" he screamed,
"You cry all the time".

I felt my strenght leave my body as my knees hit the floor.
Tired, afraid and broken I just laid there.
I laid there for a while.

The exact image of devastation.
The literal definition of broken.
That's where he left me.
So many times.

"Stop crying" he yelled.
"You're so emotional".

You are most welcome friend...
I am sorry..

this is awful. the situation. not the poem. the poem is gut wrenchingly real and I have seen myself here in this place before. all too familiar..

A good portrayal of powerlessness and abuse. Fighting back can seem almost impossible!
Well written!
