a robot riding a bicycle

a robot riding a bicycle

A Poem by daniel lee johnson
"

when robots go bad

"

i think i saw a robot
riding a bicycle today
it gave me neither glance
or a single look my way
maybe it was just me
but it had nothing to say

furiously it pedaled
carefully it steered
but passed me right by
i was invisible i feared
at least i felt that
was how it appeared

if robots ruled the world
tell what would they do
would they acknowledge
even speak to me or you

just perhaps just perhaps
we wont be part of their view
when robots rule the earth
tell me what will we all do

I think Samuel C. protects us. Would the robots acknowledge us? This is a tight little poem, comfortably, casually projecting both an observation and a question. Questions are good. As is this poem.
