colors of us

colors of us

A Poem by daniel lee johnson
"

written whille driving 60 MPH down an old country road. I wasafraid I might forget it before I got home. I should have pulled over and wrote it down but I didnt run too many cars off the road.

"

magenta and gold and red and violet and yellow
colored flowers line the old highway
commanding me demanding me
to slow down to look upon
their smiling shining faces
to smell the scent of their ancient aromas
the odors of their beauty
and the colors of their love
reminds me of the colors
and the beauty of us all.

Daniel Lee, I love this poem! I am into colors, and I felt the colors in your poem, beautiful colors :)
Matter of fact, right now, I am wearing a magenta colored shirt. It is interesting how flowers have little faces, smiling shining faces, just like you said. And your poem also mentioned their ancient aromas, I love that you wrote "ancient". This is a great, well written poem!
