words in the breeze

words in the breeze

A Poem by daniel lee johnson
"

many times alot of people see but fail to understand

"
words fall on deafened ears
unseen by blinded eyes
never pondered, never known
unheeded they are blown
like leaves in autumn breezes
carried to secret places
never to be found but by a few

Daniel

My third and last.

Again I resist the urge to analyse this to death.

A short, lyrical and moving piece of poetry.

Your metaphorical imagery is superb.

But yet almost in one sentence you make not just one point only but several:

1) How we try to define or describe ourselves may fall on deafened ears;
2) We are who we are and we desperately all want to connect with the rest of the universe;
3) In the end only we know what we mean and sadly few ever stay long enough to try to understand.

My take. My privilege. I am the reader.

A very delicate piece of poetry where I can almost feel the 'leaves in autumn breezes' empathetically.

I am breaking my normal style to review long and keeping it curt for you in three reviews.

I enjoy your writing.

Best wishes

James
