Eyes

Eyes

A Poem by Daniel DelMonacco

He opens his bright eyes

To all of her dark lies

And so began their demise.

After a few sighs

That led to the many whys,

The boy screams as he tries

But no one hears his cries.

Soon after his heart dries,

His mind unties,

And he begins to realize,

Her relations with other guys

Has made him a bit more wise.

So now he limits hi's,

And extends his goodbyes

To the girl who thinks with her thighs.
