The Chaos in his Mind

The Chaos in his Mind

A Poem by Daniel Puyda (poy-duh)
"

It's about school bullying and its repercussions.

"

He drops to his knees

Lost in the chaos of his mind

Unable to ever forget

The tragedy he can't rewind

He was just another soul

Trying to simply get through the day

Go to class and do the work

And get tomorrow out of the way

But expectations and plans are fragile

And almost always meet with despair

And when evil pushes him too far

Hate and rage replace the air

He was in the tranquility of his home

As he pulled out a loaded gun

He counted the bullets in the magazine

Ensuring evil will never again see the sun

He goes back to that place

And evil is banished to the silence of memory

Or maybe it just takes another form

As wrath courses through each and every artery

But evil never stays free

And he is forevermore locked in a cage

He is now a self-aware animal

Doomed to die here of old age

He drops to his knees

Lost in the chaos of his mind

Unable to ever forget

The tragedy he can't rewind
