Face to Face

Face to Face

A Poem by daniel_jour
"

Wrote this pre breakup and added the last line in post breakup

"
She can't usually sleep face to face.
But that night our bodies fit perfectly together like puzzle pieces.
Even while she slept her smile glowed the same way mine does when I see her.
Her gentle snore sounded like waves crashing on the shore and eased me to sleep.
Only a small space separated our lips but it seemed like a mile.
Her breath was my oxygen.
And then she took away my oxygen.
