My enemy is myself

My enemy is myself

A Poem by Daniealla
"

Sometimes the fire is within us and we need to learn to put it out ourselves before it kills us.

"
Cracked walls of white
Stamped with my miseries and my inner self laughing with delight
Walking through shallow hallways
Viewing my work
I see myself again. She's looking at me

Each memory carved with a story
Each story attached with a picture
The blank hallways are what to be
Brightness is what I want it to be
That's what I need it to be

For I can not see clearly
I am blinded by life's horrors
My inner self saves me
Or do I think so?

My fears is what you strike
My strengths is what you tease
I trusted what I couldn't see
My downfall? Myself.
I'm my biggest enemy
