Following Through

trying to recover

to rediscover

striving for sobriety

to see true reality

this is the time to follow through

to get back to the way i once flew

to lose this addiction

leave behind all of its condition

trying to care

to be able to share

forgetting my past

to make sober life last

trying to be better than i once was

to be me , the one on the inside i once was

trying to be trusting

but my past left rusting

trying to let go

but move along slow

working to improve

known there is much to prove
