Cries for You

Cries for You

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

CRIES FOR YOU

My cries are for you,
Oh Spirits of long ago.
For the world we have taken
has now become so alone.

We do not love as you once did.
We do not know how to feel anymore.
Some of us never remember you
but I will and always do.

My cries are for you
for you showed me the light,
Now I need you.
