CASTLES IN THE CLOUDS

CASTLES IN THE CLOUDS

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

CASTLES IN THE CLOUDS

Castles high upon the clouds
Winds that blow north and south
Beasts with wings of mighty birds
Flying high in many herds

Unicorns and Pegacorns
Beasts not of burden but of places unknown

They take us high into the night
Then take us home in morning light

You and I ride like queens
On Royal Beauty seldom seen

High into the stars where there is no harm
Take us there and let us frolic in the trees
And the forests

Take us to these places as we ride
