Canvas and Paper

Canvas and Paper

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

CANVAS AND PAPER

Like an empty canvas,
The paper stands alone,
No words can come to mind,
Not even a line of prose,
But soon there is a picture,
And the words fall into place,
The canvas no longer empty,
Nothing is erased.
