BURN

BURN

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

BURN

the feelings she had now ceased

she thought she had love
realizing it wasn’t love
and decided all memories

she’d erase

she didn’t cry:
no, not this time

but her heart still heavy just the same

when the time comes
the right man will come along

until then she will continue to wait

Sometime after we get burn in love and life. We gain wisdom and become wise in important decisions. I like the hopeful ending to the poem. A excellent poem.
