Balcony View

Balcony View

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

BALCONY VIEW

Deep in the night,
She stands there alone,
Staring at the sky,
listening to the water below.

The swan is her friend;
the star is her light,
She is not alone,
On this cold dark night.

She looks out before her,
and admires the view;
She stares at the sky,
and wonders if someone else does, too.

This view is lovely,
But for one who’s alone,
The balcony she stands on,
Is forever, so very cold.

The view that you see,
Other can, too,
It’s,
The Balcony View.
