Another Letter to God

Another Letter to God

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

ANOTHER LETTER TO GOD

God,

I lost someone who cared for me again,
We thought the feelings,
We shared would never end.

We had some words,
Said in spite.

One of us was wrong,
one of us was right.

I do not know what to do;
I pray and hope that you do.

I am tired of making mistakes,
and putting love on the line.

I wait for the day,
You send someone to be mine.

I know these words will not go unread.
But I send to you this little dread.

I am afraid of being alone at night,
With no one to talk to,
No one to cry to.

I do not know what to do;
I am so lost and confused.

I hope these words do not go unread.
I need someone to shed me from this dread.
