Maybe the memories were too much to bear
maybe the medical professionals did not care
maybe something natural took his life

Another friend went home the other night

his family around him at his side
his friend beside him;
inside he cries

He went peacefully
or so I hope

He went with god
he now has a new home

where angels dwell
and he no longer fights

The battles
the demons
that haunted his nights

I will never get to know this man
except one thing I can say
he was a great man

I met him once
and he talked to me
talked a bit about Nam
among other things

So many words
so little time

Another friend went home
the other night
