A Special Mouse Tales Thannksgiving

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

A SPECIAL MOUSE TALES THANKSGIVING

Mouse sniffles around her hole in the wall
Smelling the smells of Thanksgiving
Sniffling the floor as she scurries along
The smell of that cheese cake, oh so tempting
Cat is sitting at the edge of the table,
Dog is staring, head on his paws,
Mamma is smiling and humming a tune,
Father is whistling, playing with his little girl,
Everyone smiling, laughing,
Having such fun,
Mouse comes ever closer,
Still scurrying along,
Little girl sees her,
and jumps to her feet,
she grabs a small plate,
a piece of cheese if you please,
for a little mouse,
on this Thanksgiving Day.
