A Presence

A Presence

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

A PRESENCE

Silver lining in the clouds
Golden presence that surrounds
Taking the shape of a steed

Standing tall standing proud

Bolt of lightning takes the shape
Of the horn long and straight
Body forms from puffs of clouds
The Unicorn finally comes around

She takes her flight on colors of the rainbow
Where she goes only she knows
Her presence warms when nights grow cold
She keeps you safe when you feel alone

When you feel that soft gentle breeze
That is the flight as she takes to her wings
Always there when you are in doubt
She only comes when you call her out

She is peace understanding and love
She is sent from the heavens above.
