The Old One

The Old One

A Poem by ghjckukc offcuo

this darkness flows
the blackest light
so dark it glows
an unseen whisper
as blades running swifter
a crowned Nightmare
with starvation's glare
you want to see the beast behind the shadow?
the monster who hides to protect you
the black Phoenix
with wings of six
commanding over black and purple flames
consumed in turquoise flame
the other side of the mirror from which it came
he has no name
but he's older than the gods
the king of an ancient race
the last of his kind
the Bornless and blind
the Devil's bane
with a stare that drives the angels insane
I am the black fire enshrouded light
commanding the eternal storming night
leave Horus prone
as Osiris retakes the throne
let the percussions drone
with the cackling crones
casting stones and breaking bones
this endless night
don't fret
feel no regret
as the black sun rises
there are no surprises
as the past becomes the future
