This Blind God

very old

this blind god left me to fight
left me cursed and all alone
left me to fight for myself

this blind god told me that
told me I would die alone
told me that my sun had forever fallen

this blind god sold me to
sold to me my freedom
sold me to myself
with one condition

that I would be alone
that my sun would never rise
that the darkness is my home
that the my skin would crack and burn
that my brilliance would fade away

he sold me to myself
gave me back my freedom
and in return I would never die
and only fade til there was nothing left but me

this blind god has cursed my life
cursed my name and body
cursed my life and faith

this blind god told me that
told me I am unlike the others
told me that there is no heaven nor hell for me
with one condition

that I be trapped somewhere in between
that I will run forever with myself
that I shall never see another
that my body is mine and mine alone
that no other would ever share it

he sold me to myself
gave me back my freedom
and in return I would never die
and only fade til there was nothing left but me
