The Harmonica

The Harmonica

A Poem by ghjckukc offcuo

a harmonica's soul echos across the walls
playing deeply at dusk
the melody slow and strong
playing out the child's heart
in such short time
he's seen so much
he's lost a life
he never lived
scars paint his body
and stretch across his heart
the plague and laughter
the harmonica stops
his knees find the floor
his face finds his hands
tears streak
and things seem bleak
but he's at his peak
he can only come down from here
