Retribution

Retribution

A Poem by Mirajane

I am lying here on this floor the equivalent of broken tree limbs Lost Things scattered about me A fractured Mind a purple Heart a pendulum of thoughtless thoughts I am lying here on this floor Heaven's Gates at my reach What will it take to finally be freed To silence the cries held within my withered body I swear I just saw an Angel smirk at me Shrouded with the complexities of Night Towering over me with a visage unseen and a blade to liberate me I am lying here on this floor and the Angel keeps me company Digging its hand inside my womb I hear a grimace grace its face disgusted at what it finds there It leaves I am even too broken for the Angel to capture me Home so I am lying on this floor with salty lips cracked cheeks and sockets that are hollow I am lying here... lying here disturbingly deceived
