Forgotten Love

Forgotten Love

A Poem by Lizzy I

The bittersweet taste of chocolate
Reminds me of our kiss
Sweet, yet with a touch of sadness
Tender, but fleeting quickly
Like a bird
Scared away from its nest
Never to return to its egg
A forgotten love
Left behind
In a world of hustle and bustle

I love the first four lines so much I almost didnt need anymore to be satisfied with your poem. I suggest you drop a pause between them(like a bird) with a space/transition. I dont think you need the last line at all here, it seemed more as if I were being led into another stanza but you stop short or lost concentration. I think it is a wonderful thought, well described and joyful to read.
