fading

fading

A Poem by Lizzy I

Talking sounds like whispering
As the minds slip away
Soft shielded veils close
Never to see the light of day
The fluttering of the caged bird
That lives within my heart
Has tucked its useless wings away
The beating will never restart
Given up the hopes and dreams
So timid, shy ,and scared
The pain felt by this ghost
Can never be compared
Every cut and scar she made
Was it all in vain?
Or was she simply overwhelmed
By the realness of her pain

I read this, purely to check someone new, and I am so glad I did. Written with confidence and skill. A wonderful poem reflecting many ideas. Thoroughly enjoyable
