Chincoteague Dreaming

Chincoteague Dreaming

A Poem by Lizzy I

the water slowly moves
back and forth in tiny waves
as if imitating the ocean
which it can never be
the cold wind
makes my hands shake
the seagulls
perch on pillars
jutting out of the water
like crooked teeth
taking a rest
before returning to the sky
they will soon fly away
to embark on a new journey
sometimes i wish i could
be more like them
being able to fly
wherever i choose
no borders
or walls to restrain me
no ground under my feet
just the clear blue sky
and me

these to me is the best line as I interpreted your poem. Vivid pictures exploded in my minds eye and left no further cramping for understanding your view.
