Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Lizzy I

Look in the mirror
What do i see?
Monster, staring
Back at me
Disheveled beauty
Look into my eyes
Demons fighting
To their surprise
You stole my heart
I destroyed your life
I caused you nothing
But pain and strife
No happily ever after
For the wounded prince
I broke his heart
He must have winced
For the temptress knew
His heart she broke
Was her motivation
To hang her own rope

I read this like a story; mostly because I read it once and then went back and read it again. It's pretty interesting and I don't think it's too far off what every person who's ever had their heart broken has felt. I'm sure (mostly because I've never been there 100%) they've wanted to ruin the other person's life like you've described here.
Well done anywhos, I kind of started rambling.
