Chapter 4A Chapter by DancerKai was practically carrying Sasha, she had lost so much blood, but he knew that if he asked to heal her again she would hit him and attempt to walk off. I wish she weren’t so damned stubborn, he thought. She growled low in her throat almost as if she had heard his thoughts aloud. Kai grimaced before smiling, his hands growing warm with the power of healing. He focused on other things so as not to let her even remotely know what he was doing for fear that she would try to stop him. His only thoughts for now were of her safety just as hers were for the safety of another not yet found. “Sasha,” he whispered quietly as he set her gently on the cold flagstones of the corridor, “Sasha, it’s time to wake up.” Alas she had lost too much blood and would not wake till her body had replenished its much-needed ambrosia. Puling a face somewhere between a loving smile and a sneer for now he could heal her completely without resistance or complaint.
