"Found" Poem

The stuffed animal sits

Upon the shelf

In my closet,

Winnie the Pooh,

He’s been with me since I was two

Still comforts me when I need it,

Ready at a second’s notice

 

My purple notebook,

Filled with ideas

Giving me inspiration

And helping me through my writer’s block

Thoughts fill every page,

Allowing me to never have

“Nothing to write about”

 

The shiny silver collar

Draped over a picture

Of my beloved cat

Nigel

Gone too soon,

But never forgotten
