In A Crowd

In A Crowd

A Poem by grey

in a crowd, alone

my name is unknown

i have no identity

i am an alien entity.

asteroids collide in my mind

and the creatures are unkind

words fill the air

my planet is tossed without care

too many near-misses

between the hisses

of the monsters in my mind

breathing words so unkind

i bleed

and the creatures feed

a shimmer’s in their eyes

as i’m pelted with lies

they delight in my destruction

for my presence is only an obstruction

a mere disruption

a product of corruption

for there is no good in me

nothing for you to see

bump into me

with no apology

ignore me

with no recognition

go ahead, you have my permission

but do i really exist

and if i didn’t, would i be missed

for i have no identity

am an alien entity

and my planet crumbles before me

while i watch helplessly

in the sight of many

i am worth less than a penny

the voices will scream and shout

but never be let out

for demons are evil

and is hiding deceitful

if no one asks

to see under your masks

for you are invisible

and from chaos you are indivisible
