July Paris GirlA Poem by Dan BullockA momentary meeting can unexpectedly change everything :)The biggest eyes were the surprise As the girl questioned her status I wrote down my name for her to explore I lay my smile at her door The freedom of no expectation Isn’t a new invention But the perfect intention Is it laid with truth? Her mousey brown hair as I tried not to stare And the girl inquired her curiosity I wished her good luck with a nod and then Got off the train to never see her again This isn’t a sad tale of a maybe It wasn’t possible she would save me But a perfect innocence Needs no confirmation or proof We watched people, weather and kept our eyes together So the girl restored my heart I never took her name but all this is fine As I left her the clouds broke, with sunshine © 2009 Dan BullockReviews
