Why?

My father is not here with me.

He is at home for the night.

He and mom don't live together.

And sometimes they even fight.

Why is my daddy not here with me?

Why cant i just make them see?

See that being together would be the best thing for me.

Daddy has a new girlfriend now.

And i guess that that's okay.

But mommy is what daddy needs.

In every single way.

I know that they both love me.

And i know they always will.

So why can't they just be together.

To make my family real.

Mommy says she's sorry.

And dad just says goodbye.

Leaving me in the middle.

Just to ask them why?

Wrote this when my youngest son was little and i never shared it
