CHILDREN WITH BROKEN SPIRITS

 

 

We are the children with broken spirits.

 

The pages of our lives have tears on it.

 

We are the children whose lives were isolated, violated

and shame cast on it.

 

We are the children who wear our pain loudly but they

were more than cowardly.

 

We are the children who seemed different so they were told

to fear it.

 

We will no longer be the children with broken spirits

but the children who are lifted by the Holy Spirit.
